The 200th Article of IT Security Column

IT Security Column had already established in less than a year and this is the 200th article for this blog. If you followed the blog closely, this blog started on Blogger, move to WordPress with free themes, then with more free theme, and finally a paid theme.

This site was build on top of the Genesis Framework with the child theme, News theme. Although there is some minor customization, the support from the Genesis forum was great and that helps me to proceed better with the customization on top of the simple to use feature.

The other change that you probably had already realize from this site is the site’s logo. All thanks to Blog Design Team who helped to design the logo with countless rounds of revision. The price is also pretty reasonable especially you are starter to internet business. If you are looking for a logo design for your site, you can easily reach the team’s contact form from their site.

What about bloggers out there who are reading this blog? What do you think I should go next to enhance the site? I am thinking of CommentLuv Premium, but what do you think?

Congrats on the 200th post! Truly Genesis Framework is good and makes your blog look neat and tidy and it also loads fast.I like the logo too,it looks good. Can you tell me what advantages are there with the premium version of commentluv?

First of all I would like to congratulate IT Security Column for reaching its 200th post, that’s quite an achievement in a short period of time and well done Alan. Next, I would like to say that the new logo looks very professional and one will get to know immediately that this is a security blog once you look at it, perfect 🙂 Not sure about CL premium though because I’ve never used it but a lot of high traffic blogs are using it so I guess it should be good and well worth the investment.

I can’t really give you any suggestions Alan since I’m not the owner of this wonderful blog. But looking from the outside of it and as a regular reader, I think IT Security Column is already “well armed” 🙂

I might check that out but at the moment, I am not looking for any SEO tools. However, since you recommended, I will flip it through 😉

It sound like your blog has evolved quite a bit, into a neat and “clean” style… I don’t think you have to do much more… I know there might be a temptation to install every wordpress plugin in the book, however, the more you do so, the more vulnerabilities you open up for bad characters… I see you’ve made the move to commentluv premium. Are you happy with the results and quality of the posts so far?

    • Alan Tay says:

Still haven’t got commentluv premium installed yet. I am still having some other SEO tools in consideration 😉

Alan, Hi. The big thing right now is all of the social networks. With CommentLuv Premium you can really capitalize on that, because when people comment they can also spread it via Facebook, etc. Hope that helps!

Very interesting approach, every blog has to be developing with the changing times. Commentluv premium is the thing that is offering a two fold approach and benefiting the blog owner and commenter. I have been learning to read new ideas to engage the visitors and this has been a nice insight.
