Fake Antivirus Back to Business Again – Fake Cloud AV 2012

We had been hearing fake antivirus especially during Mac Malware spreading spree where plenty of Mac users were affected with the scam. All the fake antivirus thing were sort of disappeared over the last quarter and now, PandaLabs had just encountered one fake antivirus in the market.

The name of this fake antivirus is called Cloud AV 2012. It sounds more or less like the Panda Cloud Antivirus. This means that certain careless user might mistaken that this bogus Cloud AV 2012 could be another product from PandaLabs.

The purpose of this bogus antivirus is just to scare you that you have an amount of threat which you don’t really have and ask you to pay to remove them. If you have a real antivirus, you can do a scan on your computer and realize that it does not show you all these threats.

The ultimate tip here is, use an antivirus which you download from the official site. Don’t just go ahead and trust any antivirus in the word. Trusting any antivirus is just like trusting any stranger on the street. You should not do that in your real life, neither in your computer life.

Absolutely right. One should first check whether the doctor himself is a genuine doctor. Otherwise, a fake doctor cannot cure your disease, on the other hand he will further complicate the matters for you.

I never knew that there is something like that existing. That’s some sort of unethical business. In choosing my antivirus software, I always read for reviews or go to forums. Luckily, I’ve never been a victim of such fake antivirus software.
